I thought that was spider web like stuff.......

Or are they just saying blank things?
o0m-9 29th Sep 2014, 10:58 AM edit delete reply
I imagine that they're pronouncing the blanks themselves. Speech bubbles in this comic are usually literal.
Okami A. 28th Sep 2014, 6:48 PM edit delete reply
Wow, it takes some skill to pronounce censors.
TCU 28th Sep 2014, 6:49 PM edit delete reply
I'm assuming it is some form of censorship and that's why it made Hero's mouth go "numb".
Capella 28th Sep 2014, 6:57 PM edit delete reply
Ohh shoot that's a good thought
lezlarr 29th Sep 2014, 12:11 AM edit delete reply
Ohhhhh snapp. That...makes complete sense, especially since RGB doesn't like it. Coooooooool.
Guest 29th Sep 2014, 7:40 AM edit delete reply
And also why it would be bad to swallow.
Gurgle blunder 28th Sep 2014, 6:50 PM edit delete reply
Uh... Shit?
Strijdi 28th Sep 2014, 7:00 PM edit delete reply
Well, it is hard to come across a feeling of blankness/emptiness in a good form...
HorizontalHorizon 28th Sep 2014, 7:08 PM edit delete reply
The goop is censorship! Not swears or anything, just limitation.
Hatter 28th Sep 2014, 7:23 PM edit delete reply
Its called what now?
kim 28th Sep 2014, 7:32 PM edit delete reply
her voice is back to normal....and assok isn't talking.....does the white stuff stop him stealing her words?
Jackie 28th Sep 2014, 7:57 PM edit delete reply
Nah, Assock spoke when Hero was gathering up the goop. He can still talk.
TheArtfulDodger 28th Sep 2014, 7:59 PM edit delete reply
He's not stealing her words he is copying them. If he was stealing them she wouldn't be able to say the words that Assok says again.
Anonny 30th Sep 2014, 3:31 AM edit delete reply
assok is too busy being smug right now.
Veloxirunner 28th Sep 2014, 7:33 PM edit delete reply
Well, it was holding the tree grounded, so I guess that "limitation" it is.
Guest 28th Sep 2014, 8:10 PM edit delete reply
So did anyone else notice that when Assok repeats RGB's command to pick up the thing, it's spelled ['armful substance]?

'Armful, like in certain British dialects that drop the "h" from words. So assok could actually be saying that it's a HARMFUL substance.
Scatteredheroes 28th Sep 2014, 8:13 PM edit delete reply
Oh my god. I hope not.
Guest 28th Sep 2014, 8:29 PM edit delete reply
No, Assok is referring to an _armful_ of the substance.
Guest 28th Sep 2014, 10:19 PM edit delete reply
well that's clearly literally what he's saying but this is tpoh we're talking about, if it weren't not rife with foreshadowing and puns and hidden messages it wouldn't be half the comic it is
Guest 29th Sep 2014, 4:11 AM edit delete reply
Wouldn't RGB know if it was harmful or not?Given the presumed amounts of times he's probably done this "quest"
Loukin 29th Sep 2014, 2:55 PM edit delete reply
And given the way Assok is looking at RGB when saying it, I'm inclined to agree that's what he's doing. Assok's speech being echolalic (to all appearances, at least), that is *exactly* how he'd, say, reproach RGB for wanting anything to do with the stuff.
Wildbreeze 29th Sep 2014, 10:49 PM edit delete reply
That was my thought, too. Censorship does tend to be more harm than help.
Anonny 30th Sep 2014, 2:58 AM edit delete reply
RGB clearly knows what it is and doesn't seem alarmed. Besides, they slept on it didn't they?
Guest 30th Sep 2014, 8:57 AM edit delete reply
nah i bet they are gunna use it as a weapon, thus the 'harmful substance'
The Chessmaster 28th Sep 2014, 8:14 PM edit delete reply
The Chessmaster
Oh, so that stuff's SOPA then. Don't know why RGB would want that.
Victor frost 29th Sep 2014, 9:30 AM edit delete reply
Well, considering he's a TV, I'd say its more censorship in general. Remember, He had to deal with McCarthyism long before SOPA and PIPA were a twinkle in congress's eye.
Guest 28th Sep 2014, 8:30 PM edit delete reply
What's this about a Kick Me sign? The tree, or Assok?
Strijdi 28th Sep 2014, 8:40 PM edit delete reply
The tree; it probably means that it'll attract fears and the like to their location.

OMG OMG UPDATE UPDATE YAAAY I just can't stop saying how much I love this!!
Shady the Sheep 29th Sep 2014, 4:36 AM edit delete reply
(W00t. First comment.) I think I just got it! Like others have already said, that heavy goop that RGB says is "hard to find in a useable form" is most likely Censorship.

BUT... as for the tree/heart/sun with all the pretty animal shapes and whatnot? The one Hero said looked familiar? The one that she freed from Censorship?

It's Imagination.

That's what I'm thinking, anyway.
Loukin 29th Sep 2014, 7:09 AM edit delete reply
I like the way you think.
Jayfeger 1st Oct 2014, 4:40 AM edit delete reply
I agree!
Albel 29th Sep 2014, 7:24 AM edit delete reply
ITS CENSORSHIP

AHAHA

that's very clever, Mod :DD

tetrisman7 29th Sep 2014, 11:05 PM edit delete reply
my brain thinks its poop.... i don't know why it thinks that but okay
Bunny of Chocolate 30th Sep 2014, 5:55 AM edit delete reply
WAIT. Assock was found at the bottom of the tree of imagination by a broken bit. Perhaps s/he was born from the brokenness, explaining the inability to use original words.
Loukin 30th Sep 2014, 6:59 AM edit delete reply
Could be!

I was thinking about this earlier, and I think someone commented on the page in question that the song Hero was singing when she met Assok was from the Muppets or something? So like. What if the broken bit was a crack in whatever the censorship stuff is that allowed some access to the tree of imagination? And so Hero was singing a song with a connection to puppets and accidentally imagined up a sock puppet friend?

I mean, puppets can only use the words they are given, right?
DracoDeVis 30th Sep 2014, 3:16 PM edit delete reply
Am I the only one who noticed that the cane barely missed Hero's head? RGB should be more careful with that thing.
RMagic 1st Oct 2014, 6:19 PM edit delete reply
Hero got impaled twice, I'm sure she can take on just about anything now.
DR.PICKLES 1st Oct 2014, 3:58 AM edit delete reply
The blank space looks too small to be censorship. And why would they need to censor it if it was just censorship anyway? It's probably meant to be figured out as the series goes on.
Guest 2nd Oct 2014, 5:34 AM edit delete reply
RGB seems to be twirling it around his cane as if he were spinning up a rope. Perhaps thats what it'll be used for?
Guest 2nd Oct 2014, 6:25 AM edit delete reply
I get it and thats cool but I thought it was Cum cant find it in a usable form the Hero's mouth is Numb? idk I just thought it was Cum. I thought it was a weird thing and thought the writer was better than that
