I love the fact that he's turning up his volume in the first panel.

This comic is great.

...What if everything in this world is memorys and throughts that exist in the Hero's mind. And RGB is a representation of her father. Obviously he's not in the picture as we see when she says goodbye to her momma but not a father. Maybe he works all the time or something, and she doesn't understand why he's not always there for her and thinks he's mean, so she fills the hole in her heart with television. Then maybe her mind created RGB.

Actually, the author has already addressed Hero's home life on her Tumblr. In response to: "What is Hero's home life like?" She answered: "Hero lived a very happy, normal life in Manchester with her mother and father. Her mother is an editorial writer and her father is a janitor. She had two pet guinea-pigs called Bubble and Squeak." Notice she says that her parents ARE those professions, rather than WERE. Present tense, so they're still alive as far as we can tell.

You're right, RGB. This IS the indescribably idiotic way.

It took me a second to get what happened, but oH MY GOD I'm laughing so hard xD Way to wipe that grin off your face, little tellyman...
On a different note, Hero avoiding him is really interesting. Is she still scared of Negative, or upset because of what RGB told her? She's not running away from him, not really - she took him with her when he was unconscious, and was still willing to communicate with him through Assock... Or maybe she just realizes she doesn't know this world and needs him to get out?

Oh my gosh I see it now! I first thought Hero had fallen down on him, but I noticed Assok was looking up, and I couldn't quite put the pieces together till now! RGB's gonna have a blast trying to get out of that tree!
Crud 14th Apr 2014, 4:25 PM edit delete reply
Assok was surprised as well, I don't think it had any idea what was about to happen.
Blackmist 17th Apr 2014, 2:49 AM edit delete reply
Ohhh, I get it now. OH MY GOSH IS RGB GONNA BE OKAY?!?
GazzetMakara 13th Apr 2014, 9:24 PM edit delete reply
And look how assok is looking up and not down.
Hero just sent the telly man flying
Clockwork 13th Apr 2014, 9:35 PM edit delete reply
I guess the cane got caught on the tree? Or Hero's holding it in place. Love the poses in this page! XD
Jackie 13th Apr 2014, 9:57 PM edit delete reply
Hahahahaha! That's what you get for being so smug, RGB. :)
Guest 13th Apr 2014, 10:08 PM edit delete reply
if the cane doesn't come to you, you go to the cane.....
Bella 13th Apr 2014, 10:22 PM edit delete reply
How strong is Hero if she is holding the cane? Because if the cane is not going to him then he is going to the cane. Hero must be the halk or something.
Hana 14th Apr 2014, 3:16 AM edit delete reply
I'm pretty sure she just hooked it onto something. Since it can't return, he has to go to it.
Hana 14th Apr 2014, 3:15 AM edit delete reply
I legitimately started to laugh out loud. My mother asked "what was that??" At first. This and the previous panel are my favorites for sure.

What a smart girl Hero is...and what befuddlement RGB has and will have xD
Fablegate 14th Apr 2014, 3:23 AM edit delete reply
Going up?
SeptemberNinth92 14th Apr 2014, 5:17 AM edit delete reply
okay, between this and the last page when RGB tried to pull Hero back via cane (when she was riding the Idea and he was all like "the Idea's not mine, but you are!"), I am developing some serious misgivings. I love him, but I
do not trust him.
vexingfox 14th Apr 2014, 7:32 AM edit delete reply
Anyone else notice the eye on RGB's screen in the first panel?
Zeph 14th Apr 2014, 9:22 AM edit delete reply
I think that's the volume measurement screen. He's turning himself up so he can raise his voice.
Teneksi 16th Apr 2014, 4:30 AM edit delete reply
It took that "FINE" for me to notice that the lines connected to the speech bubbles/boxes/etc. are shaped differently depending on their tone. So many little details like that. :D
JRChace 17th Apr 2014, 5:16 PM edit delete reply

I tried to pace myself, but I blew through this comic in about 3 sessions and am now obsessed. It's amazing. I love RGB, I love Hero, I love the world they're in, I love the artwork, the paneling, the dialogue. The humorous bits, the sad bits. It's a work of art and I don't know how I'm gonna deal with getting only one page a week.

Thank you for sharing this comic with us.
