Is it just me, or does the base of that tree look eerily like a hand that's holding it's own branches or something?

I really enjoy the style of this tree, how it's slightly translucent in places. NICE GOING MOD! (Also, Assok climbing is my whole life omg)

Wait a minute. Is Assok climbing the tree? I see a little yellow thing getting higher.

oh my gosh, okay, everything about this comic is just perfect. especially the little details like RGB turning up his volume, and Assok climbing the tree, and all the other little things I wouldn't have noticed, had I not read the comments.

also, I'm sorry your tree's so hard to draw, but goodness gracious, it is gorgeous.

these uploads make every Sunday better.

This page is brilliant! There's jut so much going on, and the weird last panel in the page before makes more sense with this one to follow (random note: the bit of the tree Assock's climbing in the fifth panel looks kinda like a face)

aww all Hero wants is for rgb to play with her XD and he seems really worried about being up in that tree

Flying nocturnal predators?
frettle 20th Apr 2014, 10:03 PM edit delete reply
there are 'fossilised' creatures in all three of the bottom panels - a mouse [?] - a dog [?] - and...a face [?] - looks like a trap to me the upper branches are moving rather cage like...
Dodom 20th Apr 2014, 10:51 PM edit delete reply
I see the two first panel's creatures, but I can't find the third one. (The dog?)
frettle 27th Apr 2014, 3:34 PM edit delete reply
the middle panel same place as the 'mouse' -head turned round and looking up towards Hero, smiling
Dodom 27th Apr 2014, 5:28 PM edit delete reply
Hmm, so it's made out of the same branch as the human face, just seen from another angle?
frettle 27th Apr 2014, 9:22 PM edit delete reply
yes it could be the same thing

there is also a definite face in the 'trunk' in the middle of the last panel - zoom in and the down-turned mouth and eyes are fairly clear...

The things I enjoy about this comic is the whole world that Mod has created. The details she puts into her work just leaves me awe-struck. Even more so with how subtle her characters develop. For example, Hero, at first she was all for the magical adventure, but now we see her hesitation and lack of trust in RGB. And we even see it in RGB, back in the field of hesitation he could have very well given up on Hero. Mod has made it pretty clear that RGB is a coward, he could have very have just started over again(pg 37) but he obviously sees something in Hero at least enough to not give up on her. I'm interested to see the further developments of their characters and their relationship.

Same here! Things have been developing well for this comic, and I'm fascinated to see how this turns out for RGB and Hero as characters. Hero seems to be just screwing with him now, and it's entertaining to see him flustered and grasping for answers instead of her. The tables have turned. I'm on the edge of my seat to find out what's next afterward
