well, the tree is healing according to RGB. and that looks like deer, almost. and considering they're still somewhat close to(and it's been a while since I read all the way through so sorry if this is wrong) that field of doubts, what if those deer were living breathing creatures that got swallowed by the doubts and then after staying that way, turned into the crystalised tree somehow? and idk, but assock kind of looks like a friendlier version of a doubt.
blwtghrr 11th Aug 2014, 8:08 AM edit delete reply
I think it was frozen like you said, but remembering the things that happened to it. Like , Bambi, remembering the hunters and his mom. Painful.
Bellaringer881 4th Aug 2014, 5:03 AM edit delete reply
DEAR. I see dear! I'm sure I'm not the only one, BUT I SEE DEAR.

Why am I freaking out about this?
Nightsbridge 4th Aug 2014, 1:26 PM edit delete reply
I clearly don't know enough about the way the this world works because I don't know what any of that means for our tree

Your art is AMAZING, and to create such a story as well! You're incredibly talented, I can't wait for the next page:)

It's a tree, and it's healing. That means it previously was not a tree, and is returning to its proper, healthy form.

Hmm...there are a few things going through my head about what could be wrong with a tree to make to be like this (relatively like this anyway) and the majority are very interesting ideas.

I hope you have a good little break.
Guest 7th Aug 2014, 12:12 AM edit delete reply
So before the tree couldn't dream but then the hero fell asleep so is it that the hero started dreaming and those dreams caused the tree to start dreaming again? Thus the fact that it is lifting off and turning into a ton of animals?
guest00 7th Aug 2014, 1:47 AM edit delete reply

Inky_Moon 11th Aug 2014, 1:03 PM edit delete reply

The process started when hero's schism came in contact with the tree. RGB says that it is in fact a tree, and it is healing(becoming a healthy normal tree) so what is wrong? The pink sludge is sloughing off of the tree and the forms of deer are taking shape. So if the tree is healing and it is in fact a tree then the deer are not a part of it. A schism by definition is a separation. The tree is healing by separating itself from the deer.

"Is anything stronger than the trees?"
Aya 10th Aug 2014, 7:34 PM edit delete reply
It is a tree. It is healing. So what is wrong?
If nothing's stronger than the trees, how did it become ill in the first place?
Guest 14th Aug 2014, 8:11 AM edit delete reply
Isn't the schism basically 'nothing'?
pizza thug 11th Aug 2014, 1:16 AM edit delete reply

OH MY GOD What a charmingly vivid and clever comic! This is awesome. You are awesome.

In fact, as a musician, it's inspired a veritable onslaught of auditory fruition up in here -- the latest of which is a song called "Blueshift".

So from one creator to another: if you wanna collab with an audio guy on an animated sequence or something, hit me up. Everyone here would foam at the mouth for an animated piece, amirite?

Send me a message on SoundCloud with something verifiable like a quirky dialog line from an upcoming update (so I know it's you and not just some jag-off) and we'll chat.

The Blueshift link is

I don't think so but it's ok
Duskitty 14th Aug 2014, 3:17 AM edit delete reply
Wait hold on. Is the tree like a deer sloughing off the fuzz on its antlers for new growth? Is that why it looks all sort of red and bloody?
Spoony-McMurphy 14th Aug 2014, 3:42 AM edit delete reply
Wow, now that's an interesting art style!
Anonny 17th Aug 2014, 1:41 AM edit delete reply
...Dream. The tree is going to dream.
hotdawg 17th Aug 2014, 3:12 PM edit delete reply
I like to think that the deers are nightmares, and they are awakening from their sleep. maybe they were imprisoned originally and are escaping?
.... 17th Aug 2014, 3:16 PM edit delete reply
Ok, so trees are made of stuff, which is thought, but can exist with or without stuff.. it was ill, sooo ill thoughts? Thoughts change which make the trees change. Sooo, either their were no thoughts sustaining the tree or they were all ill thoughts, but now that theirs a new source of thoughts its getting better.. but what would it have been sustained on originally? And why deer now? Other trees arent deer.. idk, but ill probably feel stupid when its explained....
Aranyszin 18th Aug 2014, 9:01 AM edit delete reply
They aren't deer. They are "harts".
