steak knife ballet shoes, a very nice touch.

Not just shoes a steak knife head too.. it looks like it just noticed hero in that last panel

Oh geez. Who or what is this pink thing with fear-like knive appendages? It seems very displeased with, the tree I guess? How does it know RGB? And we still haven't found out why Assok is transcendent, and it's not entirely clear how or even that the [censorship] made RGB statically to attract Assok. There's certainly a lot going on!
Liliet 13th Oct 2014, 1:12 AM edit delete reply
it seems everyone knows rgb. he's quite a local celebrity. i'm so looking forward to learning more about him
Sleeper 13th Oct 2014, 2:36 AM edit delete reply
I got the impression that RGB was talking to Hero when he said "You are nothing short of transcendent" which makes sense if she was the one to revive the tree.
HSL 15th Oct 2014, 4:43 AM edit delete reply
One more thing that's ambiguous! The plot has really outpaced the exposition, which isn't a bad thing, except that it creates a lot of suspense.
The Snazzy Scribe 12th Oct 2014, 7:29 PM edit delete reply
I don't know what this thing is, but it may not be too far off on RGB's knack for dishonesty

D: Nuuu. Don't hurt RGB, you nasty, mutant, ballerina flamingo-swan.
Monica B. 12th Oct 2014, 9:42 PM edit delete reply
What if the pink "bird" was connected to, or lived in, the tree? RGB did say the tree was a "glorified 'kick-me' sign". What if the event of it bursting into this ball of light is a signal or call to the creature?
Guest 12th Oct 2014, 10:01 PM edit delete reply
Drinking game: take a shot for every creature/character that either hates RGB or tries to kill him.

Also, I'd agree with accusation for that thing. Or maybe blame?
Guest 12th Oct 2014, 10:16 PM edit delete reply
I feel like the ballerina flamingo thing, might be a past hero. A hero that died and transformed into this. And she is angry at Rgb and, I don't know, wants to kill him before he gets the new hero killed.
Guest 13th Oct 2014, 5:17 AM edit delete reply
I can't say I understand why everything in this comic is speculated to be a past hero, but I guess you have a point
I was thinking more like blame or something though
Anonny 13th Oct 2014, 5:40 AM edit delete reply
Some of the things in the comic are quite definitely manifestations of Hero's mind. (Look at the drawings on the wall in the first chapter.) ... I think "Hero" really hated ballet.
TheArtfulDodger 13th Oct 2014, 5:54 AM edit delete reply
I do not see it. All I see is her riding a animal of some sort. And I drew that all the time as a kid. If this was a world of her own creation I think she would understand more of it. maybe..
Anonny 13th Oct 2014, 9:59 AM edit delete reply
The animal is the 'idea'. And the other one is Marthas' flying house.
TheArtfulDodger 14th Oct 2014, 11:26 PM edit delete reply
No, I understand that those drawings may symbolize those things, but it seems too watery of a theory. There are lots of kids that draw their houses with no base underneath it and themselves riding a animal of some sort. And as far as her hating ballet I did not see any evidence of this. I am going to need more proof than a couple of generic pictures to believe that she could dream up such a beautiful world with so many characters with such intricate personalities. If they are symbolic of her emotions and growing up, like the characters of Winnie the pooh, then I would expect them to be more one dimensional. When Christopher Robbin had the stuffed animals in his room, this lead the audience to believe that this is in fact a world that he has created as an outlet for growing up and dealing with the problems of becoming an adult. Now I am not saying that this isn't a coming of age story. The Hero will have to meet challenges that will test her maturity and intelligence(she already has more than most), and whether or not she conquers these challenges will determine if she has "grown" as a character. I know that people can have many interpretations of the story, and it may just be all in her head, but I am not in the business of theories at the moment. I am going to need more empirical evidence that this is indeed all in her head.
TheArtfulDodger 14th Oct 2014, 11:42 PM edit delete reply
Nevermind. I see the clouds on the picture on her wall. You are probably right. It's weird because I looked at the picture after you posted that and still didn't see it. I think I just did not want to see it. I don't like it when the world isn't real. I apologize and you are very good at looking at stories unbiasedly. I did not think I was biased. I still stand on the whole one-dimensional characters, though. Maybe she was just connected to this world through thought?
Guest 15th Oct 2014, 9:26 PM edit delete reply
I'm not sure if its all in her head, I mean this might just be me not wanting it to just be a dream or something but if it was all in Heros head than wouldn't the entire comic be from her point of view? Yet there are scenes where she's asleep or RGB isn't with her and if it was just a dream then only the things that she sees would happen. But it could just be that she created the world and everything is still real. I don't know if that made sense or not but we clearly haven gotten the full story yet, this comic has a habit of doing what you least expect

I put my reply to you under The Cattservant.
RedGamer3 16th Oct 2014, 2:40 AM edit delete reply
Personally I consider this world to be like the Little Big Planet world. For those un familiar with LBP the world, as stated in the intro, the world is formed from the collective imagination every person. I imagine this world is similar, formed from the collective thoughts, emotions, and feelings of the world. I explains how RBG can bring multiple heroes into the world and why Hero is not more familiar with the things in it. Perhaps the changing world, not for the better, is bringing more fears...ect. to this world and gave hate power to take over. RBG is bringing heroes here to try and change the real world by changing the emotion world, if the real world can change the emotion world why can't the emotion world change the real world. After all we have seen that the emotion world can be affected from within.
TheArtfulDodger 16th Oct 2014, 5:30 AM edit delete reply

Fuck.. I replied to the wrong person.
HorizontalHorizon 12th Oct 2014, 11:41 PM edit delete reply
Is this Hate perhaps? The titular character?
TheArtfulDodger 13th Oct 2014, 5:55 AM edit delete reply
I can't quite picture "hate" as a flamingo ballerina.
Guest 14th Oct 2014, 12:15 AM edit delete reply
If only RGB didn't refer to Hate as 'she' in his conversation with TOby (quite entertaining conversation I must admit) i'd say Hate is RGB's dark side (B&W). But... she is she so maybe this is it at last. However, isn't it too soon to present us a main villain?
My money is on Blame or something like that.
roomapple 12th Oct 2014, 11:50 PM edit delete reply
I love the character design as always! Its head is a knife pointe shoe too! Maybe the flamingo represents 'truth'? Because the truth can hurt etc, I'm just fibbing :P
DragoonDart 13th Oct 2014, 12:24 AM edit delete reply
Maybe the flamingo is possessiveness? Maybe it's all pissed off because RBG ruined something of the flamingo's (the tree)?
Roux 13th Oct 2014, 12:27 AM edit delete reply
I love how Assok's "ono" looks like annoyed smiley :D

Guest 13th Oct 2014, 1:39 AM edit delete reply
I bet this crazy flamingo is (was) a sort of guardian of the hearth-tree.

And RGB... why you reminds me of Buster Keaton?
Qwop 13th Oct 2014, 4:21 AM edit delete reply
that's 'cause Mod based RGB partially on Buster Keaton >u>

hell has no fury like a woman scorned...

...but in all honesty the ballerina thing sounds like a woman betrayed one to many times by her lover( and shes about to kill him, in a crime of passion.)

i'm guessing its a monster though and not a character?
Passerby 13th Oct 2014, 9:56 AM edit delete reply

This is very obviously not Her. Look at RGB's reaction - he is trying to explain something, that he's innocent of some accusation, and doesn't seem hostile himself.
While Hate (Her) is very obviously the antagonist. One who hurt TOby and who TOby predicted would want to hurt RGB even worse, which he did not deny in any way. RGB opposes her, full stop, but doesn't seem to regard this thing as an enemy.
Not to mention that it seems way too early in the plot for the main antagonist to appear...

huh I was thinking the ballerina thing might be 'paranoia' or something since she's accusing RGB of doing something, not to mention I thought her face and feet seemed similar to the fears and paranoia is like a type of fear or something... idk just throwing out ideas here
Pinstripes 15th Oct 2014, 10:09 PM edit delete reply
You know, I find it really interesting how it's hard to tell the difference between the white strand and RGB's text boxes.
Spade Circuit 16th Oct 2014, 3:36 AM edit delete reply
All I'm thinking right now is, "step" and "stab" together makes the word "Stap." Clever.
Merleawe 16th Oct 2014, 3:39 AM edit delete reply
I agree with some of the others. The flamingo doesn't speak like a child. It sounds like an Angry ex-wife or Girlfriend.
Merleawe 16th Oct 2014, 3:43 AM edit delete reply
So in conclusion I think it's a manifestation of a woman from RGB's past, that was attracted by the static shock in the last page.

I don't believe it to be a past hero.
Spade Circuit 16th Oct 2014, 3:46 AM edit delete reply
But t could be possible that RGB tried other ages of heros and this is an old one. OR this hero has aged and now she's back and quite pissed off.

I like the girlfriends/past woman thing though.
Liliet 17th Oct 2014, 10:47 PM edit delete reply
Okay, I can't anymore. How about we stop treating "woman" as a job title? She is most likely a woman, and a woman he had met before, therefore, a woman from his past. But of all things they could have had in common, of all things they could have done together, dating is just one. How about a theory that she was not his girlfriend just because she's female and angry at him for something?
Spade Circuit 19th Oct 2014, 6:41 AM edit delete reply
I'm a woman too though and I did not mean to refer being a woman as a job title. I was agreeing with other peoples opinions that have said that this ballerina 'thing' is a past lover of RGB's.
Merleawe 19th Oct 2014, 7:52 AM edit delete reply
I have my opinion you have yours. How about you keep your social justice drama out of here. This is neither the time nor the place to be picking fights over literally nothing.

I'm a woman. If I want to say 'woman' I can say it however I like.
Guest 19th Oct 2014, 7:00 PM edit delete reply
It might not even be a woman, though. So far a lot of character's genders are never confirmed. TOby, Assok. the Idea, are all currently genderless or genderfluid as far as I know. This could just be another character with that quality.
Crud 18th Oct 2014, 9:56 AM edit delete reply
To be fair, RGB isn't exactly the poster child for truthfullness. So there's a very high chance the serial ballerina could be referring to any number of things.
Curious 17th Oct 2014, 1:25 AM edit delete reply
I really wish we had forums here because it seems like people have a lot to discuss. But one interesting thing in the first chapter is the fact that they entered this world through a door. In a cloudy realm where there were other doors....maybe RGB took other heros through these other doors. If not, why are they there?
Spade Circuit 19th Oct 2014, 6:43 AM edit delete reply
Maybe those worlds are fine and RGB didn't need hero's for them so he kept taking hero's to the same world because something was wrong. Thats why Hero is there and RGB talks about how the others failed. Which also brings up the question, What happened to the other hero's?
Junpaku 17th Oct 2014, 3:39 PM edit delete reply
I love how Assok's 'ono' looks like an frowny face <3
Guest 18th Oct 2014, 1:35 AM edit delete reply
always with you it's a trick? So this being knows RBG well enough to know his past. And they're very violent towards him, in the second last panel. The fact it totally ignores hero shows it has an agenda towards RBG. This was totally unexpected!! I was expecting a page of explanation for the [censorship], not an introduction of a new character!!
Anon? 18th Oct 2014, 5:56 PM edit delete reply
But imagine if when Hero left, her mother was so frantic in trying to find her. She called the police, and when they couldn't find her she fell apart. While Hero is innocently walking around with RGB protecting her, a mother is mourning her daughter with no body to mourn over.
