I just have to wonder if picking the Wizard of Oz as the ground isn't foreshadowing for something particular down the road, or if there's a level of subtext there that I'm missing.

Re-reading again because I always seem to miss details. Now here's a thought, this "she" that's always being mentioned I think is the "hate" RGB is talking about and I think "time" may also be a key factor if not character.
